We are growing our flock and business and have build a new mobile chicken shed, further developing our unique design that benefits happy hens and delicious eggs.
At Majura Valley Free Range Eggs, innovation starts in the paddock — and our mobile chicken sheds are a prime example. Designed and built by us, these sheds have been the backbone of our pastured egg system for over a decade. Each one is crafted with animal welfare, farm efficiency, and soil health in mind.
Our latest model houses 300 hens and features upgrades like automatic doors and nesting exclusion systems to reduce labour. Like all our sheds, it’s built to protect hens from predators, with food and water kept inside to reduce disease risks from wild birds — a critical step in maintaining flock health on pasture.
Lighter and more portable than previous versions, this new shed fits through a standard farm gate, making it easier to rotate flocks regularly and regenerate the land beneath.
